About & Prices
I have photographed hundreds of weddings in the UK and abroad, each one special and distinctive in its own way. And that, for me, is the excitement of photographing weddings. It’s a major event in the couple’s lives, one that so much hard work and thought has gone into, and I am there to be a photographer capturing the spirit, laughter and enjoyment of the event so that the couple will have some special, long-lasting, professional pictures to look back on in years to come.
For many years I have worked as a commercial photographer working on projects for TUI, BBC, Barclays, Network Rail, British Telecom and many advertising and marketing agencies amongst others. Early in my career I also began photographing weddings and I have been lucky enough to capture some wonderful moments and memories that couples have cherished as a reminder of their wedding day.
Your Wedding Day
There are many expectations about what your day should be but, ultimately, your day should be about what you want – celebrating your marriage with your own style and in a way that suits you.
Pre-Wedding
A pre-wedding shoot is an informal chance to get some relaxed pictures of you both together before the big day.
For destination weddings and as an added extra for UK weddings, there’s the opportunity to photograph you both the day or week before. An informal session – possibly with the bridesmaids – whatever you want. Fun pictures where you can all relax in front of the camera and have additional images for your wedding photo collection.
About The Wedding
During the wedding day I will be there to capture the story of your day, from preparations to the first dance (as required).
Bride and groom preparations often make great pictures. There’s no obligation to have these but many people do.
Sometime after the ceremony I will take you both away to a quiet spot for a short period of time to get images of you both together. The more natural the photos the better. A few might be posed but don’t worry if you never done this before – I’ll make it as easy as fun as possible. When planning your wedding, it’s always advisable to leave enough time to do this before the wedding breakfast.
Formal Pictures
Many couples like some formal pictures whether its groups of the bride and bridesmaids, family, aunts, uncles etc. Formals can take up quite a large amount of time so it’s always better to limit them to, for example: bride and groom with the main bridal party, bride and groom with bride’s parents/ groom’s parents and bride and groom with close friends/other relatives. Of course, this isn’t set in stone and I aim to get what you want!
Informal Pictures
I love to capture those special moments that happen during a wedding, pictures that tell the story of your wedding and the people there. Some people call this reportage photography. It’s an essential part of your wedding in capturing those unscripted moments that tell the story of your wedding day.
How do I book?
A booking fee of £500 secures your wedding date along with a signed booking form. Dates can be busy – especially on summer weekends – so contact me to check your wedding date is available. The booking fee is subtracted from the total cost of the booked package. The remainder is due at least 7 days before the wedding date.
Can guests buy prints?
Yes! An online gallery is always made available where people can buy prints from small to large, view a slideshow and more.
Pricing
I like to keep a simple pricing structure so you know exactly what you’re getting and have the option to pay for exactly what you need. Every wedding is different which is why it’s easier to send me an email with your wedding details for a customised quote.
Small Weddings
From just the happy couple to a few guests. Very private small weddings, couples renewing their vows and any wedding where there are only a few guests. Some people want 1 hour’s coverage, others more comprehensive coverage of the wedding day.
Large Weddings
Generally speaking, large weddings are where you will want all day coverage from the bride’s preparations through to the first dance (including everything inbetween!).
All Weddings
For all weddings I will take an unlimited number of photos taken throughout your wedding day (if it’s only a small wedding there will usually be less photographs). All images edited professionally in colour and some in black and white with you receiving high resolution digital files of all edited images from your day plus images sized for social media, along with a private online gallery plus your wedding photographs on USB drive or delivered online via WeTransfer.
For a quote get in touch with your wedding details including the date and location of the wedding plus how many guests you’re expecting to come to the wedding.
We photograph all weddings from 2 people to 200+, weddings large and small; runaway (elopement weddings) to large formal affairs and everything inbetween. Prices for a full day start from £1900, depending on your requirements, while small weddings (2 hours or less) £500.
Last Minute
Do you do last minute or late booking weddings? Yes, several each year. For availability get in touch via the contact form as soon as possible.
Destination Weddings
Although I work mainly in the UK, Italy and France, I also photograph weddings in other places and have been the wedding photographer for weddings in Mexico and USA as well.
Destination weddings can be wonderful experiences. Some people want a very low-key destination wedding, others only with a few friends and some are for large numbers of people.
If you’re planning on one, get in touch as soon as you can for more details on destination wedding photography or video.
